What's In Your Bag

Ok. Have you all been over to {nice girl notes} ?
If you haven't, then you should run, not walk over there!
As she says, it's "Polite, with bite".
And I just crow reading her stuff!
Seriously!
Fabulous writer over there!

ANY-way.
Roo has this little party going on over at her site called:

And the main contents out:

Various Writing Implements, depending on what your writing on...
Camera Remote in case I need a pic and no-one to take the picture...

4: Headphones for morning workout
5: Measuring tape

Making It With Allie - A Witch's Home

Oooh! It's getting close!
And I'm getting giddy!
I LOVE Halloween.
I know there are those out there that don't like it's origins and what not...
But I love planning and making costumes and dressing up and putting on makeup!
But would you expect anything else from a woman who loves the theatre and costuming?!
So, every year we peel back the facade on our home and let the true Witch's House show.
So, I got started on the Spooky Decor.
Being that I am a very Glam Witch -most of it is pretty tame.
I mean, there is a little one running around here, you know?
I must say Martha Stewart Super-fine glitter, as always is the go-to effect.
And yes, there is still glitter everywhere. Still.
Anyways, please excuse my photography lapse.
For whatever reason, I could not get the camera to cooperate for love, nor money.
I stopped short of getting my cauldron out and casting a spell!
So, the colors are Black, Orange, Purple and Green.
If they appear "off", use your imagination.

I am linking this up at these linky parties.

What have you all been up to?
Because it's time for a Making It With Allie Link Party!

Wrap Me Up

And it's full on Fall weather here.
Boooo! say the eternal Hawaiian.
So, I made these really versatile sweater wraps.
They are made from this lovely pink-grey-tan-cream and black striped knit.
AuBrynne wears hers to school nearly every day.
It has just enough "swing" to appease her "frilly" requirement.
They are cool enough to be just enough on the borderline days and
if you wrap them they become pretty snugly warm!
I didn't get a good enough picture but you can even dress them up with a decorative pin or brooch.
Or even just throw one side over your shoulder.
One of my favorites is to wrap it around and tuck into the back loop of my jeans.

Sunday Smiles

So... I LOVE love LoVe AMC's Mad Men.
I wasn't going to watch it, originally. But saw the costumes and in the first minute knew that I would be addicted to seeing the beautiful replicas and real vintage pieces.
So, when from time to time, I like to go over to AMC's website and Mad-Man-ize myself.
Have you been there to play around? It's fun for a few Sunday Smiles.
Here is the one I did while a certain little bug fell asleep on me...
